Khalid Alibhai
Co-Founder
Prior to co-founding Pacific Gate, Khalid worked at TorQuest Partners, one of Canada's leading private equity firms, where he led diligence and execution on new investments and worked alongside portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational priorities.
Before TorQuest, Khalid worked in investment banking at CIBC Capital Markets, advising on M&A and financing transactions across North America with a focus on financial institutions.
Khalid holds an Honours Business Administration (HBA) from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
Tariq Alibhai
Co-Founder
Prior to co-founding Pacific Gate, Tariq worked at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Canada's second-largest pension fund and an active global investor, where he evaluated and executed technology sector investments and collaborated with portfolio companies on strategic initiatives to drive growth and optimize performance.
Before Ontario Teachers', Tariq worked in investment banking at Barclays, supporting M&A and financing mandates for multinational financial institutions with a Canadian presence.
Tariq holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
